Persephone Mitchell is a photographer based in central Ohio focusing primarily on portraiture, while enjoying the occasional landscape here and there. From a young age, she documented everything around her but discovered photography as a passion at the age of 16 after taking a darkroom course. Persephone went on to complete a B.F.A. in Photography and Integrated Media at Ohio University, with their thesis displaying immersive environmental portraiture taken on medium format film. In recent years, they have turned their focus to collective portraiture. Persephone is a versatile photographer, with experience in many branches of the profession, and has been featured in Ilford Magazine for her film portraiture. She is currently teaches photography at a local high school and is continuing to build on her work.
